Monday, May 5th, 2008
Trish from SnitchSeeker.com was at Collectormania 13 in England and spoke with Natalia Tena, who plays Tonks in Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. Tena revealed that she has completed filming for HBP:
The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn’t actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there - indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.
According to United Agents, actress Suzanne Toase is currently filming her role as Alecto Carrow for the sixth Harry Potter film. It is yet unknown whether she’ll reprise the role in Deathly Hallows.
Today is the birthday of actor David Tennant, who portrayed the character of Barty Crouch Jr. in the fourth Harry Potter film. Mr. Tennant celebrates his 37th birthday today. Happy Birthday, David!
Julie Christie, who portrayed Three Broomsticks owner Madam Rosemerta in the “Prisoner of Azkaban” film celebrates her 67th birthday today! Happy birthday Miss Christie!
Helen McCrory: “Wicked and Witchy” for Half-Blood Prince
Sunday, April 13th, 2008
Actress Helen McCrory is profiled in a new article now online from the Daily Mail in which she talks about her career, life, and role as Narcissa Malfoy in the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film. In this lengthy article, Helen briefly discusses her role as Narcissa in the sixth film, saying: “Just wait for me to be wicked and witchy.” As readers will remember, due to her pregnancy during the “Order of the Phoenix” filming, she was unable to take on the role of Bellatrix Lestrange in that film, but, the article notes, was instead offered the role of Bellatrix’s sister, Narcissa, in the “Half-Blood Prince” and “Deathly Hallows” films.
Production is currently underway for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” which is set for a November 2008 release.
